CHECK VALVE FOR PROVENT 200
A MANN+HUMMEL genuine check valve for the PROVENT 200 which is required when returning oil to the sump ABOVE the oil level. The valve is fitted in the drainage pipe where the connection is made to the engine.
How does it work? While the engine is running, the negative pressure (generated by the fact that the intake rushing into the engine creates a “scupper effect” in the engine),closes the one way valve. When you switch the engine off, the valve opens and the oil drains back to the sump.
